Ingredients for Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispy Treats

Just like Classic Rice Krispie treats, you only need three simple ingredients for this recipe:

  • Fruity Pebbles cereal
  • One Bag of mini marshmallows – The mini marshmallows will melt faster, but you could substitute regular sized marshmallows
  • Butter

The colors in the Fruity Pebbles take these treats to a whole new level!

How to Make Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie Treats

Get ready for some quick and colorful magic in the kitchen!

Step 1:

Prepare the Pan. Grease an 8×8 pan. We want these to be thick so we’re using a square pan. A 9×12 will also work but the treats will be thinner.

Step 2:

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir until it is melted.

Step 3:

Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir constantly so they don’t burn. Mix until the marshmallows are melted.

Step 4:

Remove the pan from the heat and gently stir in the Fruity Pebbles. Make sure every piece of cereal is covered in marshmallow.

Step 5:

Put the mixture into the pan and press it down evenly. Use parchment paper or waxed paper to keep it from sticking to your hands. Let it cool for about 30 minutes

Step 6:

After 30 minutes, cut them into squares and serve!

Storage Tips

Any leftovers should be stored in an airtight container to keep them fresh for up to 3 days. But you probably won’t have any leftovers!

You can also freeze leftovers in an airtight freezer bag. To defrost it, place the frozen treat on a plate and let it defrost at room temperature.

Equipment

  • 1 Pot or Saucepan A taller pot will keep the cereal from falling out during mixing
  • 1 Wooden spoon or Spatula
  • 1 8×8 Square Baking Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Tbsp Butter or Oil Used to Grease the pan
  • 6 Cups Fruity Pebbles Cereal
  • 10 oz Mini Marshmallows 1 bag or 4 cups

Instructions
 

  • Butter or oil the 8×8 baking dish and set aside
  • Add the remaining butter to a sauce pan over medium low heat and stir until melted
  • Add the marshmallows to the saucepan and stir constantly until melted.
  • Pour the Fruity Pebbles cereal into the marshmallow mixture and carefully stir until all pieces are coated in marshmallows.
  • Press the Fruity Pebbles mixture into the greased baking dish. Use parchment paper or wax paper to keep it from sticking to your fingers.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes and then cut into squares and serve!
